While there have been lots of 1920s and 30s and then 1950s-inspired wallpapers recently, there seem to have been less options for a 1940s look. A delightful Forties exception is Nina Campbell's Promenade wallpaper.
The wallpaper shows a very British 40s park scene: a man mows the lawns, while children feed the ducks or play with ducks, as fountains bubble away merrily. These charming scenes are available in a number of different colour combination, playing with the look of a toile de jouy fabric.
The wallpaper costs £56 a roll.
