London Transport Museum's Metropolitan Line A Stock range is a new set of designs inspired by a story from over 60 years ago.
The Metropolitan A Stock was introduced onto the London Underground in 1960, and has gradually demised from operation (you may remember the original luggage racks for sale a while back). Surprisingly no artwork was produced to announce its arrival, so the Transport Museum have commissioned this new illustration to right that wrong. It's a delightfully retro piece of design, with two different scenes showing the line travelling into the Buckinghamshire countryside, one in the day and one in the night.
The design has been used across a variety of products including the coasters pictured (showing the daytime design) as well as mugs and bags and other bits and pieces.
Prices start at £4.95 for a travel wallet while the coasters pictured are £12.99.
