If obscure German cars are your thing, check out this Auto Union DKW 1000S. It's a stunner. At least, on the face of it.
The car was built in the then West Germany, with the pillar-less coupe dating back to 1961 and running with a 50HP 2-stroke engine. This particular model has been imported (left-hand drive), but it is UK registered, taxed and MOT'd, so ready to go.
According to the seller, there is 'virtually no rust on the car', but it does have an 'amateurish respray', so perhaps consider that if are bidding. Also, the rear bumper has some rust pitting and the interior is said to be in 'average' condition, so there is potential to add more value here for sure.
The seller also points out that there is a 'very active DKW club' in the UK, so spare parts are readily available if you need to do any work. We'll end with a big positive though. This retro gem is at just £770 right now. Many more images on the listing.
