This is the 1970s, right down to the brown paint job. we're talking about this Rover 3500S car, which is up for auction right now.
It looks a stunner – you really should check out all the images on the listing to get an idea of that. Dating from 1972 in 'Mexico Brown' with Sandlewood box pleat leather seats, it is fitted with the correct, short throw 4 speed manual gearbox and optional power steering, Sundym glass (security etched), touring pack and adjustable headrests.
Restored of course, but some years back – since then it looks like it has been well maintained. It is also sold with an 'extensive' service history to give you an idea of that.
Not perfect though, the exhaust needs looking at, the period spotlights need wiring up and the driver's door trim has 'a small amount of damage along it's bottom edge', but that is easily replaceable.
Overall, it looks a good bet, but read all the details to make your own mind up. The price right now is £620.
