If you are wondering what you will do once the Roy Lichtenstein exhibition leaves town, you'll be pleased to know that Pop Art Design at the Barbican will be heading in not long after.
The exhibition covers key moments in pop art design from the mid 1950s to early 1970s, featuring over 150 works by over 70 artists and designers. The likes of Richard Hamilton, Andy Warhol, Peter Blake, Claes Oldenburg, Roy Lichtenstein, Joe Tilson and Judy Chicago, not to mention Charles and Ray Eames, George Nelson, Achille Castiglioni, Gaetano Pesce and Ettore Sottsass.
There will also be a wealth of graphic material from posters and magazines to album sleeves, as well as film, photography and documentation of pop interiors and architecture. If that all appeals, it runs from 22 October 2013 – 9 February 2014, with tickets available now.
