It looks, at first glance, like the iconic Joe Colombo Elba armchair. But this is actually a variation that theme, the French-made Airborne chair.
Dating from the early 1970s sand initially sold by Laroche-Bobois (now known as Roche Bobois), it obviously takes inspiration from the Elda, but instead of the leather seating, this one is in an original dark chocolate velvet fabric, while the body is a white-coated fibreglass. If you love space age design, you'll love this.
Condition is described as 'excellent', with no cracks or chips. The velvet is said to be well worn with some very minor tufts and minimal bare patches in places (see photos on listing). But in light of is age, that doesn't sound too bad, but make your own mind up after checking out the shots.
Price-wise, we're talking £265.
