These Olle Eksell prints are a simple shortcut to getting some mid-century Scandinavian style.
Olle Eksell was a Swedish graphic designer who, until his death in 2007, produced many distinctive advertising illustrations. His estate have now opened up his archive for public consumption and have adapted his designs for a range of products. There is a wide selection of prints for sale, including 'Skansen', pictured above, which shows Stockholm's famous open air museum and zoo, complete with many exotic beasts. Other designs show other charming scenes of the city and beyond, all executed in his joyful style.
Take a look at the site for Eksell's designs on coaster, T-shirts and bags too.
And they're reasonably priced. A print will set you back 300 Swedish Kronor which makes for around £30.
