The upturn in the weather has seen the top down on many convertible cars. Sadly, most are pretty dull modern-day convertibles, nothing like this stylish 1967 Sunbeam Alpine Roadster Series 5 sports car.
According to the seller, just 19,122 of these cars came off the production line back in the day and we can assume only a fraction remain. According to the seller, the 1725cc engine 'fires up and runs sweet' and has been subject to some provisional work in terms of restoration. He also adds that the interior panels, back and passenger seat, original carpets and dash are all in good condition ,apart from the drivers seat stitching which has come away from the leather in part, but is easily fixed.
However, some both back body panels need some attention and the car is sold as a restoration project, even if part of that work has been done. If you know someone who could finish it off or you want to do it yourself, this could really be a head turner when the summer months arriver.
Lots more detail and images on the listing, with the price right now at £1,500.
