The Mandarine Armchair is apparently recreation of a design by Pierre Guariche, although I most confess I'm not familiar with the original so will happily feature this reproduction.
The French designer Guariche emerged in the 1950s and was part of a talented group of young designers working in that period. The chair's design plays with geometric shapes, with two half moon armrests give the chair its fun and distinctive shape. It is available in a choice of colours; green, blue, red or grey. It costs £299.
