Liking this 1950s vintage theatre lighting floor lamp very much, which even comes with its own bit of theatre history.
The light itself was originally designed in Covent Garden in the 1950s, then used in the Palace Theatre in Shaftesbury Avenue in the capital, used for many of the major shows over the years.
Since then, the lamp and its ventilated die-cast body, 360 degree rotation, rare 'extended lense tube' and mirror finish has been upgraded for the home, cleaned up, attached to a handmade wooden tripod (with height-adjustable legs) and rewired.
Lots of images on the site if you want to see more. If you like it, the lamp is at just 99p – and with no reserve.
