Not sure we've ever featured anything Skoda before, but having browsed the listing for the Skoda 1000 MB Deluxe car on eBay right now, we think this is an ideal candidate for the site.
It's a practical classic, with the seller describing it as being 'extremely rare'. It was also previously in the ownership of one of the writers of Practical Classic magazine, who apparently 'run into thousands of pounds to get it to its current show winning standard'. It's described as a '7 year nut and bolt restoration' and if you browse all the images on the site, you'll see what that means. This looks in pretty pristine condition.
It has also been fitted with a 'later 1200cc engine' and a five-speed gearbox, which makes this 1968 car ideal for modern-day traffic. The only issue is that the fuel gauge has a fault – but a warning light comes on when fuel gets low. Something that shouldn't be tough to fix either.
It's up on a 'buy it now' for £4,450 or you can make an offer. Well worth browsing those images on the listing too. It's a gem.
