With the Great Gtasby movie all over the papers (and readying itself for the big screen), it seems like the right time to go back to source and revisit a range that mixes style with substance. That being F.Scott's Fitzgerald's Penguin Hardback Classics.
The range was re-issued to mark the 70th anniversary of the author's death, with the set including new issues of Tender is the Night, The Beautiful and The Damned, This Side of Paradise, The Last Tycoon, Flappers and Philosophers and of course, The Great Gatsby itself. Each volume is given a luxury look, decorated with a metallic art deco-inspired pattern – each title having a different treatment. They'd make suitably glamorous editions to your book shelves, either on their own or as a set. They look great as a set (I can say that as an owner!)
