Next month the V&A Museum will be hosting the display From Club to Catwalk focusing on London fashion n the 1980s. While we wait for that to open, we can enjoy the accompanying book, 80s Fashion edited by Sonnet Stanfill.
The book focuses on the cooler side of 80s Fashion. It's less Fergie bows and more the inventive clothes which were coming out of London's club scene during the period from designers such as Body Map and Leigh Bowery, and then shown off to the world in style mags like i-D and The Face. Featuring interviews with Wendy Dagworthy and Paul Smith, this stylish books offers an alternative take on this sometimes over-familiar era.
It's currently available for £15.99 from Amazon.
