Not sure its use has to be confined to sewing, but this is described as a vintage 1960s sewing box, so we'll go with that.
It's a lovely bit of midcentury design too, with the lids and drawers made of wood and plywood, finished with oak laminate. There are two 'fake' drawers fitted with black metallic handles and a lid at the top fitted with a piano hinge. The lid opens on one main compartment with two removable compartments made of pine each divided into small spaces to store haberdashery. The tripod foot is made of black metallic rods placed at a slight angle
