We were going to feature just one of these, but then we thought a more general post on vintage Carlton Ware money boxes might be more appropriate.
The money boxes date from the late 1960s into the early 1970s, notable for their cool, quirky, even psychedelic designs. Yes, they are functional items, but they are also very col things to have on your shelves. A group of these can look amazing.
The ones here are just a random selection of some available on eBay right now. The 'face' above is my favourite, currently at £5, while the beefeater is 99 pence and the train is at £1.04. There are more on there – and new ones constantly added. So do keep checking back for more.
