Here's a design-inspired twist on the usual family games this Christmas. The Iconic Architecture card game by Cinqpoints is a stylish take on Happy Families.
In this version, the people are replaced by buildings, and very stylish they look too, reproduced in black and white illustrations on the 44 cards. The range of buildings included is global and goes right up to contemporary designs, as well as more classic examples – the likes of Oscar Niemeyer's Cathedral of Brasilia used alongside Sou Fujimoto's 2010 Tokyo Apartment.
Cinqpoints are French toymakers who (as Le Corbusier devotees might have deduced from their name) have produced an entire collection inspired by architecture, a selection of which is currently being stocked as SCP. It's rather sophisticated for the average kid though, and they might get more appreciation from adults!
This set is available for £14.50 from the SCP website.
