Not too long ago, we saw a London record store go up for sale on eBay. Today we've spotted the entire contents of a Liverpool record store go up on eBay. Sad to see a story close, but for vinyl lovers, it could be as dream come true.
The record store in question is The Vinyl Emporium, which was formally Hairy Records on Bold Street in Liverpool, with the stock estimated to be 15,000 vinyl records, everything from rock and pop through to soul, reggae and country on LP and 12-inch.
Obviously not everything is listed individually, but you would hope that there would be something of interest in all of that lot, especially as the store had something of a reputation with vinyl lovers.
According to the seller, some 'are to be skipped', but many are 'in fantastic shape'. Some shelves are also included if you want them. Price? The bidding starts at £1,500, or you can 'Buy It Now' at £5,000.
Oh yes, you'll need a truck or something of that sort to move it all, not to mention a sizeable area of your own for storage.
