Big thanks to Andrew Graham (who recently featured in a Retro Rooms feature) for flagging up an incredibly rare and incredibly cool light fitting, this 1970s S.A. Boulanger Chandelier III.
It dates from around 1971 and is a design that rarely comes up for sale. When one does, it perhaps needs to find the right buyer too, as this substantial fitting (this is the biggest of the series) really needs a room with enough space to do it justice.
Once up, it has 13 bulb holders in total, with the bulbs able to be recessed or left sticking out, depending on what you prefer. Condition on this chromed steel fitting is said to be 'stunning', with no damage or repairs to the metal. The wiring has also been updated by the current owner. Oh yes, it has also been signed 'Boulanger' and has the serial number just in case authenticity worries you.
Just as well really. The asking price for this thing is a hefty £1,149.99 – or you can make a cheaper offer. We would recommend doing just that.
