If we told you this was a midcentury Scandinavian classic, you might well believe us. But this is modern British design, specifically the Moonshine Day Bed by The Galvin Brothers.
We love it and if you have a midcentury-style home and an urge to kick back and have a nap in the middle of the day, you will too. Of course, it will work for the long haul too if you need a spare single bed for the night, looking stylish in your home when not in use or simply working as a sofa with a tweak of those cushions (one comes as standard, but you can buy extra).
The bed is solid oak, with a 140mm mattress available in a range of colours and with upholstered buttons. Those fabrics are made by Abraham Moon, which has been making cloth in Guiseley, West Yorkshire since 1837.
But for a standard set up, the price is £1,690.
