Oliver Bonas have just launched 1958, a stunning new collection of sofas and chairs. No prizes for guessing what period inspired the range – yep, they are based on an original design from 1958.
The range – which includes two and three-seater sofas, armchairs and footstools – is handcrafted in Beeston, Nottinghamshire. The frame of each piece is made from beech, while those very period legs are made from solid oak.
The great lines of the piece have been upholstered using Designer's Guild Sloane fabric and are available in six bright colours, giving a contemporary look to the pieces. There's cobalt, as shown on the three-seater sofa above, or jade as shown below, or take your pick from the other options clover, slate, green or coral.
The cushions are made from foam, covered with duck feather for a luxurious feel.
Prices start at £325 for a footstool going up to £1095 for the three-seater.
