Exciting news for anyone who has ever poured over some of the fantastic designs in the Heal's archive: Heal's are launching their first fabric collection since the 1970s. A mixture of reissues and new designs, there's a great range of styles to choose from.
The colourful top design is the work of Zandra Rhodes. Called Top Brass 2, it was originally designed in 1963 when she was still a student and is inspired by a Hockney painting. As then, the new collection hopes to support emerging, as well as established, designers.
For a completely different look, this Diana Bloomfield design dates to the 1950s and appears on fabric for the first time.
There are also several designs with a retro flavour. The fabric at the bottom of the post is by Cressida Bell and inspired by the work of Eric Ravilious and Edward Bawden.
There are nine fabrics to pick from, all priced at £45 a roll and released on 1 March.
