There's plenty of retro wallpapers around at the moment but for some designs that scream seventies style, take a look at the work of Sarah Jane, available through Not On The High Street.
In fact, there are plenty of designs for sale, showing a range of stylistic influence but it's the seventies designs that really stand out – for obvious reasons when you look at the cream, orange and brown paper shown above. Sarah Jane studied printed textiles at the Royal College of Art – you can especially see that influence on the yellow and orange daisy design below – and each pattern is especially printed to order.
Although the papers have a 1970s look, they try and maintain 21st-century eco standards. They're printed using water-based inks onto FSC certified non-woven paper made from cellulose fibres.
Price varies, but the painstaking method of production means they all cost more than the average high street roll. A roll of the top paper is £142, while the below daisy design is priced at £125.
