It's one of those love or hate designs, but one thing is for sure – if you want to kick back after a hard day, this Parker Knoll Statesman Recliner Chair is just the thing.
It dates back to 1960 (but has been unavailable for some years now) with more than a touch of the 'Bond villain' about it. It is returning now because of – you guessed it – the John Lewis 150th anniversary – in a choice of the como leather you see above or the fabric finish featured below. Don't worry about the colour, there are plenty of options available for both.
The chair has what's described as the 'ergonomically curved outline' to allow you to relax in comfort and is sat on a solid ash stand. Not cheap from £1,999, but a great place to land night after night and even better if you love acting out the occasional James Bond scene.
