If you want a Dansette, this 1960s Dansette Tempo record player is worthy of a closer look, especially if the price stays at a reasonable level.
It is down as a 1963 model, full restored and serviced for the modern era and in a duck egg blue finish, contrasting the light interior. Within that casing a Garrard Autoslim turntable that plays speeds of 16, 33, 45 & 78rpm, while the outside has two brass capped controls for on/off, volume and tone plus a red light to indicate power.
Of course, there's a single valve amplifier too for that rich vintage output. The one has been serviced like all the internal fittings, with anything that needs replacing being replaced. There's also a modern-day plug on it, as well as a correct output stereo compatible cartridge.
But best of all is that this Dansette is an auction item with a low starting price. Right now it's at £4.99 if you want to put in a bid.
