Don't think I've seen anything quite like this before, which is why I'm flagging up this 1950s Stella portable record player in a vanity case.
At its heart is a portable record player, manufactured by Philips London back in 1956 and complete with a BSR four-speed deck and a valve amplifier which has apparently been refurbished in the past. Indeed, the record deck has also had a recent service.
All of that is packed into what looks like a vanity case at first glance, one with a speaker built into the top and of course, with a carry handle. the rexine cover is described as being in 'good condition for 58 years old', but there are age marks – see all the photos for an idea of that.
But it is working and if you want the 1950s look, this is pretty much ideal. Good price too – just £12.79 right now with no reserve.
