The lava lamp has been given a new lease of life, courtesy of the Star Wars Motion Lamp at ThinkGeek.
At its heart, it still is a lava lamp, Plug in, wait, then watch the wax do its stuff in a very 1960s way. But look closely and you'll notice that the stems of these lamps are 1970s Star Wars themed, specifically a choice between Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader, the former lightsaber-like design matched with blue wax, the latter with red wax.
Both are officially licensed and both stand around 18 inches tall. They sells for $29.99 online.
