London Transport Museum have declared 2014 the Year of the Bus, tying in with anniversaries such as 60 years since the first appearance of the iconic Routemaster and 75 years since the launch of the RT-Type bus. Another reason for celebration is Tatty Devine's Routemaster-inspired jewellery collection, produced exclusively for the London Transport Museum shop.
It's a collection of 15 different pieces, including earrings, necklaces and brooches inspired by the much-loved London bus. The bus is replicated in its full (mini) glory in the brooch illustrated above while other pieces are inspired by the traditional 'Push Once' button. There are also a number of necklaces and brooches inspired by the destinations shown on bus blinds – you can see a selection below.
Prices start at £20 (which is the price of the bus blind brooches), while the red bus brooch is the most expensive piece at £35.
