For homewares with something of a nautical flavour, check out the Anchor ceramic range from Coastal Living: equally worthy of the messdeck or the landlubber's kitchen.
It's a small but perfectly formed range of goods, including the jars pictured, salt and pepper pots (which you can see below) and a jug. Each is made from ceramic but has been glazed to give it a worn, vintage appearance and to echo the look of the currently oh-so-fashionable enamelware.
They've also been given an attractive blue trim, and an anchor logo that proclaims the dates '1911' and '1973' (you can make up your own story as to the significance of those). The look is finished on the jars by a blue knob, charmingly reminiscent of the pom-pom on a sailor's beret.
And the collection is reasonably priced too: prices start at £4.35 for the small jar and go up to £9.95 for the jug.
