The Adorn pendant light is a contemporary design by Alfy Kelly, but we think they would look brilliant in a midcentury-inspired interior.
Designed by Kelly during his final year studying at Central St Martins, London, the form has something of the look of Louis Poulsen's classic 1958 Artichoke lamp. In contrast to that design, however, the 'leaves' on this light are actually made from paper. They're designed to be easily removed from the lamp so that the shade can be matched to whatever room you want to hang it in. At the moment, it's being sold in three colours – pink, white, wood – although the stockists, Design My World, will try and arrange other colours on request.
It's a really interesting piece of design, and cheaper than an original Artichoke too. The price depends on what size you go for, but starts at £120.
