The original 1950s Saarinen table was recently reissued for the outdoors, but whether you buy one for inside or out, it's still not a cheap prospect. You can get the 'look' a lot cheaper with this Lance circular dining table at Habitat.
Yes, this gets you a similar look, not an exact copy, with both proportions and construction different to the original mid-20th century table, as you would expect. But it's a stylish thing in either of the two finishes – with a white lacquered top or the oak veneer – complete with its metal tulip-style base.
Both tables are around 74cm high and with a diameter of 110cm, selling for £150.
