If you are faced with the problem of being a fan of mid-century looks but don't have the space for some of the most imposing pieces, this mid-century mini desk from West Elm could be the very stylish answer.
It's obviously a problem shared by quite a few people, as West Elm have taken the design of their best selling midcentury-style desk and scaled it down for this new version. It shares the same simply elegant looks of the larger version, completed by metal-finish drawer pulls but measures only 91cm in width.
The desk is made from FSC-certified eucalyptus wood with acacia used as a veneer for the drawer. While you could go for the more period-looking acorn finish, there are also cheerful blue or white versions available too, as you can see on the image below. And, while West Elm is selling it as a desk, it would look pretty great used as a console or a dressing table too.
The desks are priced at £379 each.
