You don’t need to see the presence of an 8-track player to know the era of this amazing Weltron 2005 space age audio system.
This is hipster central circa 1970 and probably a glimpse at the expected future at the time. Sadly, the futuristic designs of the late 1960s and early ‘70s slowly faded away, leaving this Weltron 2005 rooted firmly in the past.
According to the seller, it dates to around 1970 and offers a record player, radio and that 8-track player, as well as a pair of Weltron 2006 speakers (made for the system) and a pair of Prinz Sound headphones.
As for condition, well it is ‘very very good condition’ for its age, with noted blemishes being a 1-inch crack in the lid were the hinge is, possibly from an ‘over tightened screw’. However, the seller says it is ‘hardly noticeable’. See the listing for images of that.
In fact, see the listing for more details and images of the system. If you want it, the current bid price is £800. Not cheap, but when will you see one again?
