If you have seen the Joe Colombo Inventing The Future book, you will instantly recognise this from the cover – the Joe Colombo Elda Chair.
An early 1960s design (but looking much later), this was a forward-thinking, early piece of space age design, with this one described as one of the original pieces, not a later reproduction.
It isn’t quite the same colour combination of the one from the book, but it is a distinctive mix of tan leather and black shell, with the added bonus of the chair being in ‘fantastic condition’ and ‘with no damage’.
As you would expect, not cheap at £3,500 on a ‘Buy It Now’, but the seller will consider cheaper offers.
