I told myself not to flag up a Dansette this week. Then I saw this 1963 Dansette Major Deluxe 21 record player listed and had a swift change of mind.
It’s a restored player, as you’ve probably worked out, finished in the classic red and cream and hosting a BSR auto changer record player. It has been stripped and cleaned inside and out (no replaced covering), the hinges are ‘almost like new’ , the valve amplifier has been serviced and a new plug for the modern era has also been fitted, as has a new stylus.
The end result is what you see here, which is up for a ‘proper’ auction and priced at just £4.99 as I write.
