Want to own something pretty unique? We suspect you’ll struggle to find a vehicle like this Morris-Dodge American-style pick-up truck out on the road.
Here’s why. It is a 1970 Pickup that started life off as a G.P.O mail van in London before being abandoned in a hedge in Somerset for 15 years. In 2013, the seller undertook ‘an extensive nut and bolt restoration’ over two years, which included the fitting of a Dodge pickup bed with running boards, twin rear wheels with new tyres all round, a chassis restoration, various new parts and more. See the listing for a breakdown.
The interior was also restored with new carpets, door cards, black leather bench seat, glove boxes and so on. The front end is also interesting, described as a ‘one off made from other classic vehicles’, producing that final Americana look.
It does look stunning and according to the seller, the finished pick-up has ‘tax free historic vehicle status, cheap insurance and great mileage’ too.
There is a lot of interest, but at £6,101, it still looks good value if you are after this kind of drive.
good day……is this pickup for sale?
