It doesn't say it directly, but it's hard not to see the influence of Piet Mondrian on the Zanotta 741 storage unit, available from Nest.
The modular storage system is designed by Fattorini + Rizzini + Partners and is made from sheet steel. What makes the design so Mondrian-esque is the open units, painted in a combination of red, yellow and black. Combined with the closed units, these colours give the impression of one of his distinctive paintings.
Standing at 148cm high, it's practical as well as artistic, offering a combination of units with drawers and doors, perfect for stowing away in style.
Made to order in 8 weeks, it's certainly not a cheap buy (although definitely less expensive than the actual thing). The unit is priced at £5070.
