Want some cool lighting that hints at midcentury style, without picking a too-easily identifiable piece or a slavish copy? Take a look at the Copenhagen pendant from &Tradition.
&Tradition are a Danish company who reissue pieces by the likes of Arne Jacobsen and Verner Panton, as well as working with contemporary designers. This pendant is one of the latter, designed for the company by Space Copenhagen.
It very much continues that Scandi tradition – in fact, the way the light shines from the top and the bottom of this piece is said to be inspired by the gaslights of Copenhagen piers – making the design pretty timeless. The pendant is metal, given a matt finish in either white, slate or black, and hangs with a fabric cord.
There are three different sizes to pick from, depending on how much of an impact you want the light to make.
Prices start at £199 and go up to £659.
