It was apparently bought as ‘a derelict wreck’ in the late 1990s. But this 1957 Rochdale GT sports car is far from that now.
It was returned to the road after four years of work, completely rebuilt ‘in the spirit of the original’ and using a ‘fully protected chassis’ and a Reliant 850cc engine.
The work done is obviously extensive, so do see the listing for all of the detail. Suffice to say that every box looks to have beeb ticked. The end result is car that ‘runs and handles remarkably well’ although you do have to be wary of your height as the cabin is ‘quite small’.
A lovely thing that’s likely to be at home on the open road in the summer months, it is currently at £4,500.
