I’ll be honest, I didn’t know anything about this company apart from an ad I saw in a magazine. But a bit of digging took me to the Higgs and Crick website and within that, The Russell armchair.
The company unashamedly admits it has ‘ideals and influences come from a bygone era’, which are obviously evident from this piece and its midcentury and (possibly) Scandinavian influence.
There are two versions of this chair, one with tweed upholstery and one finished with leather. But both have the same wing back design, cherry wood frame (described as smooth, but not french polished) and cherry wood panels to the side.
It doesn’t come cheap though. The Russell armchair is priced from £2,675.
