It’s a design we have featured before, but not looking anything like this. That’s because we are now talking about a Swoon Editions x Mini Moderns Carnaby armchair.
Two of our favourite design companies have come together to give an already retro design another layer of midcentury charm. That’s down to the addition of Mini Moderns’ Pavilion fabric, which is inspired by the Abacus Screen of coloured balls from architect Edward Mills, which commemorated the 1951 Festival of Britain.
That fabric has been screen-printed by hand in Norfolk and added to a chair with a mango wood frame, angled arms, a curved back and a wooden base with tapered legs.
Very cool and likely to be snapped up very quickly. Just 10 of these, each selling for £449.
