It is a classic of its time and still available to buy on the high street. In this case, the Smoke Trudy Sputnik Pendant Light at BHS.
Yes, another Sputnik. But we do like what’s on offer here from BHS, which is offering a light that could easily pass for a vintage fitting. Everything is as you would expect, with a central ball and chrome arms, each with smoke glass bulb covers and some ‘decorative’ detail. There’s also an adjustable cable so you can get it at just the right height.
What you don’t get are the bulbs – and you’ll need 18 x 10W G4 Halogen bulbs for the full effect. Oh yes, you will also need £200 to secure one.
