If a vintage player doesn’t carry the Dansette name, there’s a good chance it will be a lot cheaper. That’s definitely the case with this vintage ITT record player on legs, which is a very good looking deck.
It is actually pinned to the 1970s by the seller, but looks older. We would have had this down as a 1960s model, but perhaps the seller knows something we don’t. It doesn’t really matter anyway, it’s a lovely midcentury look, especially on those legs, which is all that matters. Note that we aren't sure if the legs are original or removable – something to take up with the seller if that's a potential issue.
Actually, it isn’t quite all that matters, with the seller adding in the important additional information that it is in ‘good working order’ and in ‘good condition’. Not much other detail, so perhaps you need to have a look at the close-up shots on the listing to get a full idea of that condition.
One final detail you might want to know is the price. Right now this is at £59.99, but with no bids. So one to watch if you fancy a bargain.
