If the name of the company is familiar, that’s perhaps because you recall our original article about the electric bikes by Otocycles. Things have moved on a little since, with new models based on classic Cafe Racer motorcycles, going by the name of the RaceR.
Yes, more 1950s-inspired designs for the modern-day e-bike. The new models are lightweight (around 28kg) and customisable, with a range of suitable accessories also available, including a vintage-style helmet and a bag for the battery.
You should get up to 25km/h out of the bike (so not exactly up there with the real thing), with a range of 70km with pedal assistance from a charge. Of course you’ll look pretty good too on this vintage-style bike.
What we don’t know right now is the price, as the RaceR isn’t quite ready for sale just yet. But with previous models being priced between €2,685 and €2,850, you can imagine this one being around that price too.
