It’s the kind of thing you might imagine being in the corner of a 1960s space age house. Except that the Cocoon fire range isn’t old – it is very now.
The look is pure retro though and in the right setting (a midcentury or modernist house for example), this circular fire would look just perfect, whether it’s hanging from the ceiling or stood on the tripod base or the podium.
So why is it so now? Well, this doesn’t use fossil fuels for the heat, the Federico Otero-designed fires use biofuel, which is clean, environmentally friendly and requires no flue. So easy to set up and use.
As we said, three different options for the the fire in terms of positioning / base, as well as two options (stainless steel and black) for the finish. As for the price, well you can expect to pay from around £2,100.
