1971 Jaguar E Type 4.2 (pictured above)
How could we resist the idea of an E Type? It’a a bona fide classic and many people’s idea of the dream car. This one ‘runs and drives’ but does need some work to bring it back to its best, not least with the interior. It’s a project to keep you going until the summer.
Right now it is at the starting price of £14,950.

From something pricey to something affordable – but this 1972 MGB GT still needs some love and affection.
Described as ‘structurally sound for a 43 year old car’, it has some been updated and maintained, but now needs some proper renovation, with a crack in the windscreen, some rust bubbles and rear panels mentioned.
On the plus side, it does drive and has a low starting price. Just £460 right now. If you want filly restored, check out this model instead.

The seller describes this as ‘Probably one of the most genuine unrestored Lotus Europas left’, which is highlighted by that wonderfully period green paint job and its oatmeal interior.
The car looks a retro dream, with everything looking pretty much as it was back in the day. The one upgrade is perhaps something you can’t see – an upgrade to a ‘big valve’ engine, which apparently improves performance no end.
Just out of a service, it is up for £17.950.

There is a good reason why so many people fell in love with Mercedes as kids, they produced cars that looked as good as this.
No accident that it looks so good, a refurbishment of this car cost £12,000, with pretty much everything restored or replace judging by the listing. It also has its original Becker radio and clock, which is good to see in a car of this age.
An auction car, with bidding already up to £35,100.

Another lovely looking car and again, another restoration.
This one has been fully restored by its previous owner over a period of four and a half years, with the original engine fully rebuilt and no mileage since the work was completed. It looks amazing inside and out, but perhaps only if you love that shade of yellow.
£17,995 is the asking price for this.
