A real slice of the 1960s available in eBay, courtesy of this Riley 1.5 Mk II car.
A longstanding British car maker, Riley started producing motorised vehicles as far back as 1890, continuing until it was merged into the British Leyland group, where it subsequently disappeared at the end of the 1960s. This one made the cut though, produced in 1962 and still looking pretty fresh.
Perhaps that’s down to the care and attention it has received. Just two owners on the log book and only 36,000 miles on the clock between them. it has made it to shows in that time though, picking up ‘best in show’ awards in the process.
As for condition, the car has been professionally touched up in terms of the paintwork and has had a new clutch in the past, as well as new carpets and a stainless steel exhaust fitted and tyres of late. it ‘runs and drives very well’ and has always been garaged by the owner.
