Thonet keeps everything simple, stylish and compact with its S1200 Secretaire desk.
This looks like it should be part of the company’s classic modernist furniture range from the early 20th century. But it isn’t. This is a piece inspired by the classic tubular steel furniture of that era and as such, should fit into any modernist or modernist-inspired interior with ease.
As for the design itself, it is a compact desk (which is a plus in our book), with a work surface and storage space, that tubular frame, a footrest to help with your seating position and with optional accessories available separately.
You also get to choose from a choice of woods, stains and lacquer colours too. That might tweak the price a bit, but the basic price for this is £1,399.
