A distinctive and very collectible car, with this 1970s Bond Bug coming with the benefit of a full restoration.
As you might know, the Bond Bug was designed by Tom Karen for Ogle Design (the people behind the Raleigh Chopper) in 1968, hitting the production line in 1970. A few years on and the car was no more. Well, not quite.
This hipster’s runaround from the early ‘70s has lived on thanks to a very loyal fan base, with occasional models popping up on eBay. This is one of the better ones.
The car was a previous eBay purchase before a ‘cost no object restoration’ and use in Germany over seven years. It is now back in the UK (with British plates) and looking got a new owner. If you want to know the full extent of the renovation, do check out the listing, which goes into pretty much every detail. Suffice to say that little – if anything – was missed.
More photos on the listing too. If it all works for you and you like the idea of taking a Bond Bug round the streets, the current bid price is £3,050.
