Yes, we have spotted another of these gems up for auction. Yes, this fully restored 1972 Fiat 500 is actually up for auction rather than being as ‘Buy it Now’ or classified.
According to the seller, this is a ‘beautifully restored and modified’ Fusion Fiat, restored by a Fiat engineer in Italy and with ‘a lot of nice little hidden touches’.
That includes shifting the engine up to 740cc, along with an upgraded carburettor, exhaust, electronic ignition, and more. The gearbox is a syncro unit from a 127 which means a ‘driving experience just like a modern car’ but with the classic car look. The wheels are apparently ‘very expensive’ Abarth variants while the interior has ‘hand made bucket seats’ plus a ‘custom dashboard’ with a vast array of gauges.
So not your average renovation.
The car is currently in Italy but the seller adds that the price includes the de-registration from Italy, transporter delivery to the UK, a new MOT and NOVA number. The ‘Buy it Now’ (if you opt for that – but you can bid as we said) includes all the UK paperwork sorted for you plus the new black and silver UK plates fitted.
More details on the listing and more photos too. As for the bidding, it currently sits at £1,605.
