When it comes to the classic Harrington, the first name on everyone’s lips is usually Baracuta. The downside is the price of the jacket from that particular maker. The Reissues Made in England Harrington Jacket by Fred Perry isn’t a great deal different to those jackets – and it happens to be cheaper too.
In fact, if we reel off the details, you might think we are talking about the Baracuta G9. So a jacket made of a ‘lightly coated’ cotton blend, a Stewart tartan lining, two front button flap pockets, a zip front and the usual button collar.
The difference here is the Laurel Wreath logo on the chest and the colour options of navy, black and stone. Oh yes, that price too, which is £175. Significantly cheaper than the Baracuta jacket, but it all comes down to personal preference in the end.
